Updated Rulebook, Registration Info, and Captains Meeting!

As we are quickly approaching the 2011 Fall Season I have some updates regarding Rules, Registration and our Captains Meeting. We’ve decided based off of feedback from previous captains to run a 9v9 Format this season with contact blocking. Due to this change though offensive linemen will no longer be eligible receivers. This change will result in some confusion I’m sure in early weeks but we are excited to see the new format in action.

The updated 9v9 rulebook is now available and can be downloaded on our about page or by just clicking the links below. It’s very important that captains go over the rulebook because there are several changes this season that could really effect your team. I’ve highlighted some of the major changes below but still strongly encourage you to download the rulebook yourself.

  • Offensive Linemen are now ineligible and can no longer catch passes.
  • Ball Carriers are ALLOWED to swat hands away when attempting to pull their flags; however you can’t hold opposing players arms, wrists, or cover the flag.
  • Matching T-Shirts or Uniforms are required by Week 3

Final Registration & Captains Meeting

We will be holding our mandatory captains meeting on Thursday, September 29th at the Cecil Arena located at 2706 North East Road, North East  MD 21901. The meeting will start at 7pm and we will collect rosters and registration fees, discuss rule changes and expectations, finalize all rule votes, meet the referees and discuss future seasons. I will also be handing out the 2011 Rulebook, T-Shirts for all players, and hopefully a finalized schedule. This captains meeting is a huge step that was never taken in previous seasons and hopefully we can have all questions and concerns answered prior to the start of the season. 2011 Fall Information

We are pleased to announce we have finalized information for our 2011 Fall Season. The Spring Season was fun but everyone knows the Fall League is our pride and joy. We are excited to announce that we will be once again playing at the Bard Cameron Field at The Cecil Sports Complex in Rising Sun, MD. We will be playing on a regulation field with 20 yard first downs. We will be playing either a 8v8 contact eligible format or a 9v9 contact with ineligible linemen. I will leave this decision completely up to the captains. The league will also be a USFTL Sanctioned League and teams will earn both national and state ranking points. Games will be played on Saturday afternoons starting October 1st. We are expecting 8-10 teams this season and have already talked to 2 first year teams who are committed to joining this fall. We will keep pricing the same at $325 per team with $45 weekly ref fees; which could be reduced depending on the final word our officials.

- Season Starts October 1st.
- Registration Due September 26th ( NO TEAMS will play if not paid by this date.)
- Games are Saturday afternoons starting at 11am.
- 8v8 Contact Eligible or 9v9 Contact Ineligible

2011 Spring Schedule is Up!

We are excited that the 2011 Spring Season will kickoff this Saturday at our new home the Bard Cameron Football Field. You can find the schedule here. The captains meeting will begin at 12:30 so I need all team managers there on time.
