Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote the growth and understanding of American Flag Football. We provide an outlet for anyone over the age of 18 to compete in an American Flag Football League. While particular emphasis is placed on these specific goals, it is a fundamental principle of the CFFL that all activities, social and athletic, promote diversity, friendships, and unity.

League Background

Cecil Flag Football League (CFFL) is a Flag Football league for Cecil County and surrounding areas. The league was created in 2008 by former High School, College, Semi-Pro, and Professional athletes from various sports with the help of the Cecil County Parks and Recreation. We are looking to create the most competitive Flag Football league in Cecil County by limiting our league to 8-12 dedicated teams who will need to stay ranked to play in the season ending to Tournament

Format & Game Play Information

We will be running a 5v5  Contact Format based off of a modified version of the USFFL rule book. We will start with between 6 teams depending on the demand. Teams will Roster up to 12 players. Each team will be required to get their own Jerseys with name & numbers. Entry fee is $325 which is due a week before the league start date. Games will be played on Saturday afternoons starting at 1pm at The Cecil Arena in North East, MD. We will not accept team names that are offensive, inappropriate or trademarked. The 2012 winter season begins on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

Rules & Regulations

We will be using a modified version of the USFFL rule book. We suggest all current or interested players, managers, refs, or volunteers download, and print a copy of the rule book. Below is a basic summary of penalties and rules, however there is a lot more in the rule book. This is our 2012 Rule Book. We made several changes for the 2012 Season to insure safety of all team members and help the officials.

– Teams will require a minimum of 5 players on their roster.

– Teams may roster up to 12 athletes per team.

– Team Uniforms need to include a number.

– We will NOT tolerate any inappropriate, or offensive team names under ANY circumstances.

– Team members must pay a $50 weekly ref fee to play.

– All Team Fees are Non-Refundable once registered.

– Entry Fee is $325
